Synthesis and characterization of silver–zinc oxide nanocomposites for humidity sensing

چکیده

This study synthesizes hybrid of silver (Ag) and zinc oxide (ZnO) from their bulk salt to form Ag–ZnO nanocomposites for application as a humidity sensor. The Ag ZnO nanoparticles are synthesized using chemical reduction method, followed by co-mixing calcination yield the nanocomposite. characterized SEM, TEM, XRD, EDX establish morphological, structural elemental composition. Sensing measurements were performed in controlled proton-type chamber saturated solutions KOH K2SO4 dehumidifier humidifier respectively. We sintered subjected direct current resistance (Ω) sensitivity measurement function relative (RH). Crystallinity pattern showed reflections face centered cubic nanoparticles. XRD peaks attributed heterostructure it agrees with SEM images showing isotopic anisotropic under varying conditions. finds that increases at 10%RH interval. Ag-ZnO sensor exhibits higher 687Hz/%RH comparison nanosensor which has maximum 324Hz/%RH. increase sensitvity can be high surface area absorption present porous shell electrical capability core transducing water vapour absorbed into signals. fast response recovery time 54s 73s, low hysteresis 3.76%RH 5.2%RH result variation against (RH) reveals greater significant factor (SF) 5.25 1,88 ZnO. proves better serve replacement many other materials currently circulation market.
